Dr. Sadr is an associate professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, University of Washington School of Dentistry. He received his Ph.D. and advanced training in restorative dentistry from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 2008. He has been actively involved in the research and development of materials such as self-etching adhesives, resin cement, new composites, and tooth remineralization agents. He is focusing on research towards the adoption of advanced technologies such as Optical Coherence Tomography and CAD/CAM to implement a minimally invasive practice of dentistry at various levels.

Dr. Sadr has been collaborating with academia and industry internationally to realize these goals. In the past decade, he has presented his findings in over 150 scientific articles as well as extensive presentations and talks across the world. Dr. Sadr is the Director of Operative Dentistry Pre-clinical Training in the UW SOD and co-directs a new elective course with Dr. Yen-Wei Chen on CAD/CAM education for the final years dental students.
